Before I watched Buffy I knew two things about it. First, Buffy was a pretty, bad-ass blonde girl and second, there was the singing episode. I didn't know any more about Buffy until I watched my first episode of it. I still think that Buffy is a stupid name, in fact her name's made fun of in the show, but that's absolutely the only thing about the show that's stupid. Joss Whedon is a genius, his scripts are phenomenal. The cast does excellently, they all have a fantastic understanding of their characters. The music and especially the theme tune are brilliant. You get the idea. No show can be perfect but Buffy comes the closest that I've seen. It flawlessly mixes humour, action, emotion and serious themes and messages into some great stories.

Buffy the Vampire
			Slayer - Cast

The picture above is of the cast for series 5 of the show. Left to right they are my personal favourite character Willow Rosenberg (Alyson Hannigan), Rupert Giles (Anthony Head), Buffy Summers herself (Sarah Michelle Gellar), Tara Maclay (Amber Benson), Dawn Summers (Michelle Trachtenberg), Xander Harris (Nicholas Brendon), Spike (James Marsters), Anya Jenkins (Emma Caulfield) and Riley Finn (Marc Blucas).

			Slayer - Willow & Tara

As if that wasn't enough Buffy also has one of my favourite TV couples of all time, Willow and Tara. They are actually the cutest thing and for the whole of New Moon Rising (4x19) I felt like my heart was being put through a mangle. Those of you who've seen that episode will know what I'm talking about. Not to mention that Tara's love song to Willow in the singing episode, Once More, with Feeling (6x07) always brings a lump to my throat.
